#MTBoS12Days: My Holiday Favorites

I am able to write of three options:
  1. treats & recipes to share
  2. inexpensive gifts to give
  3. holiday memories
I don't really cook treats that much, but there is one recipe that I will share with you all. I will say that I find gift giving to be stressful. My girlfriend and I have had several conversations about this.

1. Treats/Recipes

The one recipe/treat that I make at the holidays is the Sausage, Rotel, and Cream Cheese Dip

Here it goes

Sausage/Rotel/Cream Cheese Dip

You will need
1 roll of sausage
1 can of Rotel
1 block of cream cheese

Directions:
Fry the sausage like normal, then add a block of cream cheese to the sausage. Let the cream cheese melt and stir frequently. At the end, add the can of Rotel and stir together. Let simmer until cream cheese is melted and is mixed with the Rotel.

This can also be done using a Crock Pot on low heat. Just be sure to fry the sausage like normal.

I will say that I originally got the recipe from my aunt, but I have made it at school for the past three years. This year, it was gone by the time lunch came when I brought it in for our Christmas snacks day.

  1. I can totally relate to the stress of gift giving. My sister is amazing, but I struggle every year to figure out what to get people. Wish it was easier for some of us.

    1. It's so stressful. Some members of my family are great, but I did not get that gene. My girlfriend and I were talking last night. We have our anniversary on Monday, my birthday is in February (as well as Valentine's Day), and her birthday is in March. I was like "It's too stressful! It's too much energy thinking of gift ideas!" I barely got through Christmas with gift giving.
